"Across the Channel:

Women Unifying Nations"

Saturday 10th March 2012.

We are proud to be involved in the world wide event "Across the Channel: Women Unifying Nations" and Headcorn Aerodrome is hosting the cross channel leg of the event on Saturday 10th March 2012.

In 1912, Harriet Quimby took off from Dover and flew over the English Channel to France. She became the first woman to have flown an aeroplane across the English Channel. On March 10th 2012, hundreds of girls and women will discover flying on her footsteps during a

one-of-a-kind event.

We are expecting over 100 lady pilots to celebrate 100 years of women pilots over the English Channel with a flight from Headcorn to Le Touquet in France. For more information - click here.

THE MUSEUM WILL BE OPEN ALL DAY
